Jiu Jitsu, often referred to as BJJ is a derivative of Japanese Jiu Jitsu and and is a Self Defense system that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. It utilizes joint locks,strangulation holds, chokes and throws to defeat an opponent and is considered one of the premier combat sports taught today. The art was initially made famous by the Gracie family of Brazil and was soon recognized as one of the best reality-based martial arts on the planet. Martial Artists from all different styles, including Karate, Kung-Fu, Tae Kwon Do and Judo now practice Jiu Jitsu.
Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. It is similar to other Indochinese styles, namely pradal serey from Cambodia, tomoi from Malaysia, lethwei from Myanmar and Muay Lao from Laos. Descended from Muay Boran, Muay Thai is Thailand's national sport. Muay Thai is referred to as the “;Art of Eight Limbs”; or the “Science Of Eight Limbs” because it makes use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight "points of contact", as opposed to "two points" (fists) in boxing and "four points" (hands and feet) used in sport-oriented martial arts.[5]

The sport is genuinely competitive. A wrestling bout is a physical competition, between two competitors or sparring partners, who attempt to gain and maintain a superior position. There are a wide range of styles with varying rules with both traditional historic and modern styles.
